Sweet So Far...

The air is still filled with happy moods especially since today is Friday.

After a long weekend with the Chinese folks celebrating their Lunar New Year, this short week has been very relaxed and well, sweet.

Not many people turned up for work on Wednesday, and many more took leave off work today... and many too I know are on sick leave today. A yearly ritual of many Chinese co-workers after too much celebrations, late night Mahjongs, liquor with barbecued pork... and lots of Mandarin oranges to boot the "heaty" concoction.

Anyway, less people, not many other places of businesses are open for the whole of this week make working this week... like I said... sweet!

The prelude to the long weekend public holiday was very nice too. A friend of 12 years had finally gave in to giving us a "CNY treat." The 5 of us had our lunch last Friday at Jack's Place in AMK Hub.

Now looking forward to the weekend.

Wife will have her pottery class at 10:00AM and will join me at the last parent support group meeting before the big day arrives. Sonny's school is going to hold its annual Dunman Care and Share Day 2010 on Saturday, 27th February.

Leading the Games Group, Wifey and I have completed all the banners, props and posters for our 6 game booths. We met up with the other group leaders to give an update to each other and the school.

Sunday will be a free day... open to spontaneous outdoor activity just like before Dad's passing. Things will be normal again... without Dad in person but in our hearts always. Amin

  1. Sounds like you're doing well. Meanwhile, we're having the nastiest winter in years! Today we have freezing rain and drizzle. I do discern, though, that temperatures are slowly but surely rising, so there is hope.

  2. Hello dear Friend ... Happy Chinese New Year of the Tiger ... I always love celebrating two different NY's ;o) I have been ill since 2/11 so it hit me hard, but feeling much better and eating good foods ... 20 lbs lighter than I expected, so that is a gift to start on a better lifestyle change. I have often wanted to post hello's in the interval, but it takes me 3 times to get my post to be accepted, esp if I'm not signed in. You're worth it, though.
I just stopped by Rhi's blog and got to see the photo of her honey! It was so nice to read she had a good Valentine's Day. Though I was sick, my honey gave me a doz pale ivory roses and a card, I gave him the free card that came in the mail that day with cats putting hearts in a mailbox ... from me and Tuffy. But he's been really loving my new healthy meals I'm inventing. All is well ... all is well. Life does go on.....in fact, I will type you here what I just opened in this little book called "Guide for Advanced Soul" ... left pg: "Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them-that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like."-Lao-Tse AND...
